What networking brands doesAlbaServ India work with?
We work with Cisco, Aruba/HP, Fortinet, D-Link, TP-Link, and Legrand. We are authorized partners for Cisco Meraki, Aruba and Fortinet UTM/firewall solutions.
DoesAlbaServ India provide structured cabling for large buildings?
Yes. We design and install structured cabling up to CAT6A for offices, factories, hospitals and multi-floor buildings. All installations comply with TIA/EIA-568 standards with end-to-end warranty.
CanAlbaServ India manage our network remotely?
Yes. We offer 24×7 network monitoring through our NOC with proactive alerts, bandwidth monitoring, device health checks and remote troubleshooting.
Do you provide Wi-Fi solutions for large facilities?
Yes. We design and deploy managed enterprise Wi-Fi using Cisco Meraki, Aruba and Ubiquiti with centralized cloud management, captive portal and seamless roaming.
What is structured cabling and why is it important for an enterprise?
Structured cabling is a standardised system of cables, connectors, and hardware that provides a comprehensive telecommunications infrastructure for a building or campus. It supports multiple hardware uses (data, voice, CCTV, access control) on a single system. Unlike point-to-point or unstructured cabling, structured cabling is organised, labelled, easy to manage, and supports future upgrades without rewiring. It follows TIA/EIA-568 international standards and supports speeds from 1 Gbps (CAT6) to 10 Gbps (CAT6A).
What is the difference between CAT6 and CAT6A cabling?
CAT6 (Category 6) cabling supports 1 Gbps speeds up to 100 metres and is suitable for most enterprise LAN deployments. CAT6A (Category 6 Augmented) supports 10 Gbps speeds up to 100 metres with better crosstalk prevention and is recommended for data centres, server rooms, and future-proofed enterprise networks. CAT6A cables are thicker and require more space in cable trays.AlbaServ India recommends CAT6A for new enterprise installations to ensure 10-year infrastructure longevity.
What is a managed switch and why is it better than an unmanaged switch?
An unmanaged switch simply connects devices and works out of the box with no configuration options. A managed switch allows IT administrators to configure VLANs (network segmentation), QoS (priority for voice and video traffic), port mirroring, access control lists, spanning tree, SNMP monitoring, and remote management. Managed switches from Cisco, HP Aruba, and D-Link are essential for enterprise networks requiring security, traffic management, and troubleshooting capability.
What is a VLAN and why should enterprises use it?
A VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) is a logical partition of a physical network that groups devices together regardless of their physical location, improving security and performance. Enterprise benefits: separate HR, Finance, and Guest Wi-Fi traffic so departments cannot access each other's data; isolate CCTV cameras on a dedicated VLAN; prioritise VoIP traffic for call quality; and contain security breaches within a single segment.AlbaServ India designs VLAN architecture as part of every enterprise network deployment.
What is a next-generation firewall (NGFW) and does my business need one?
A next-generation firewall (NGFW) goes beyond traditional port/protocol filtering to include deep packet inspection, application awareness, intrusion prevention (IPS), SSL inspection, URL filtering, and sandboxing for advanced threat protection. Any business connected to the internet needs a firewall. NGFWs from Fortinet FortiGate, Sophos, Cisco, and Palo Alto provide comprehensive protection against ransomware, phishing, and data exfiltration.AlbaServ India is an authorised Fortinet partner for NGFW supply and management.
What is SD-WAN and how does it help multi-branch enterprises?
SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Network) is a technology that centralises the management and optimisation of WAN connections (MPLS, broadband, 4G/5G) across multiple branch offices. Benefits for multi-branch enterprises: lower WAN costs by replacing expensive MPLS with broadband, intelligent traffic routing to ensure critical applications always use the best available path, centralised security policy deployment across all branches, and easy new-site onboarding without on-site IT staff.AlbaServ India deploys SD-WAN solutions for enterprises with 5 to 500+ branches.
How is enterprise Wi-Fi different from home Wi-Fi routers?
Home Wi-Fi routers are designed for 5–15 devices in a small area. Enterprise Wi-Fi (using Cisco Meraki, Aruba, or Ubiquiti access points) is designed for 50–500+ simultaneous users, provides seamless roaming across multiple access points, supports separate SSIDs for employees and guests, offers centralised cloud-based management, can enforce bandwidth limits and content filtering, and provides detailed analytics on connected devices. Enterprise access points handle high-density environments like offices, hotels, hospitals, and classrooms without degradation.
What is NOC (Network Operations Center) monitoring and what does it include?
NOC (Network Operations Center) monitoring is a 24×7 service where trained engineers remotely monitor your entire network infrastructure — switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and servers — using management software. It includes: real-time alerts for device failures or outages, bandwidth utilisation dashboards, performance trend analysis, proactive resolution of issues before they impact users, and monthly health reports.AlbaServ India' NOC team monitors 730+ customer locations across India, ensuring 99% network uptime with rapid remote resolution of incidents.
